Updates for the 9th Season of the American Idol

Posted by: Gwen Stewart in , ,

Days from now American Idol Season 9 will be launching on Fox, but before that they have faced many issues up ahead both good and bad and before we set our eyes on the Idol stage here’s a background check on the latest updates before the preview.
*************

Before the search for people with big voices and great falcetto, photos are released of the new set of judges for the ultimate reality talent search American Idol. Fox shows the first cast shot which is composed of Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi (returning for her second season), Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres, with host Ryan Seacrest. This is totally a more reliable confirmation of Paula Abdul saying goodbye to the Idol stage as Ellen says hello.
After the statement released by Fox regarding their newest judge, Ellen has this to say: "I'm thrilled to be the new judge on 'American Idol…I've watched since the beginning, and I've always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I'll save from not having to text in my vote." Ellen has always been a huge fan of the show. It can be remembered how her show graces its audience with featured interviews of American Idol finalists plus live performances. On how she will judge the contestants she says “…I love everything about it and I love music, as you know. Hopefully I’m the people’s point of view because I’m just like you…I’m not looking at it in a critical way from the producer’s mind. I’m looking at it as a person who is going to buy the music and is going to relate to that person…”

Although Ellen is the newest fourth judge, she won’t be taking the seat till February. During Auditions guest judges will be taking her place starting with Victoria Beckham.
The two-night, four-hour season premier will feature Boston and Atlanta. Other guest judges to take the seat are Mary J Blidge, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Shania Twain.

Another boiling confirmation regarding the Idol judges is on the circulating rumor regarding Simon Cowell leaving American Idol. Records search shows Simon’s brother, Tony, confirming the rumor to be true after stating about the press statement that is being prepared regarding his brother departure from the Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing The X Factor’s American version to the US TV in 2011.

Simon’s popularity grew with his truth-bomb which is sort of insulting to others but are sure tough courage to most. The exciting part in his persona in the Idol is that he dare says what other people are afraid to do in the worry of hurting someone’s feelings or ego.
With his new show coming to America, people can’t help but wonder who will take the seat as judge both as Simon’s replacement to the Idol and for the X Factor. The said talent show is said to be similar to American Idol that bets about Paula Abdul being recruited for one of the position. Regarding the replacement, another question hangs whether the thrill and gist of the said show will ever be the same without Simon’s comments. Who will replace his hard punch criticism? It is undeniable how his word per word comments on performances can find a person irritated and sympathetic on contestants; the truth is this makes the show exciting. For now Simon and this season’s new set of judge are on the roll in preparing for their premier.

This may not be judge related yet fans of American Idol would sure like to know about this next news. American Idol alum Jason Castro just got married.
The Season 7’s fourth runner up Idol tied the knot with his girlfriend Mandy Mayhall. They were wed near Jason’s hometown in Dallas.
The Idol talent who was known for his dreadlocks Tweeted on Sunday “Yesterday I married the girl of my dreams… It couldn’t have been more perfect! Now, honeymoooon!!!”
Besides the great news on his getting married, Jason will be releasing his debut album this spring.

A sneak peak in the Idol auditions before the premier:
Kara DioGuardi revealed that there’s a chance this new Season of American Idol has a promise brought by Britain’s Got Talent finalist Susan Boyle.
During the judges’ instant people search for the Idol finalist, the auditions show talents which reminded the said judge of the Boyle. Last year, Boyle became an overnight sensation as she sang Les Miserables’ ” I dream a dream”. For Kara the audition showed potentials whose appearance seemed to be overcome by their voices.
Speaking of the her likeness, Boyle’s debut album hits top charts in the Billboard as it took on number one on record’s sale.

American Idol: New Season, New Twist, all in the New Year

It’s one of the best reality shows ever to hit TV setting the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Jenifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry to fame. They were idols, and as a new year begins so does the journey to look for the answers in the most asked question: who will become the next American Idol.

Last season was full of surprises; the 8th season went out with a bang as firstly there’s a new judge, secondly there are thirteen and not twelve finalist, thirdly there was a saving grace option for an eliminated finalist and fourthly the underdog, Kris Allen won the title. It was something worth remembering. So, as the New Year kicks in people are looking forward to new twist and new vibes that may come around.

Speaking of new things, public records search shows concerns from fans regarding Paula Abdul leaving American Idol. There is certainly issues regarding her raise and this is still unanswered. However people who have been there to see American Idol feel the loss if ever everybody’s sweet and favorite judge would not be staying around: It’s definitely not the same….

Definitely not going to be the same—it has been confirmed that the beloved Paula Abdul will not be returning to take on the fourth judge’s seat. Many are crying out for Paula to return however with her quitting, Fox has already made plans on who will take over her position. It’s definitely a thrill as someone from a different background was announced to take her place: Ellen DeGeneres who has been fan of the Idol ever since day one said on her talk show how she plans to give out her part as the people’s voice. She definitely doesn’t have formal training in such yet is a lover of tunes so she wishes to assess the contestant through how viewers’ see fit like going for a records search in the music store. But before Ellen goes for the seat as an Idol judge, guest judges will first take the place for the auditions starting off with Victoria Beckham who will be judging for one week.

As Abdul leaves the Idol, Kara DioGuardi, who has confirmed her return in the Idol judge seat, may be taking a few cold shoulders from the show’s fans. Let’s face it, feeling bitter with Paula’s decision to leave gives them reason to feel bad that Kara will be staying instead. More on the judges: news hit with yet another judge planning to leave the show after this season: Simon Cowell. The judge everybody loves to hate will be giving up his seat after the upcoming 9th season. This was brought about by his wish to concentrate more on bringing the UK hit talent show, X Factor, to the US next year. It can be well noted that this talent show launched one of today’s talented singers, Leona Lewis, who won the competition during 2006. At present background check on Leona shows her latest achievements since her win in the said competition: getting nominated for the Grammy Award and recently singin the theme song I see You for James Cameron’s Avatar.

American Idol’s 9th season will be airing this January 12, 2010 at 8:00 am and whether there have been changes the fans may or may not like this show is still something worth watching. It’s time for the Idol phenomena to start taking the world to the next level as another instant people search happen with ultimate star quality.
